Same test in Media Express resulted in no video to be seen in the preview, but output could be seen on the Shuttle HDMI out. Setting the second display resolution and refresh to one of the supported modes, and then selecting that mode in Virtualdub via Video->Capture Filter allowed the preview to be seen and output through the Shuttle HDMI to show up on an HDTV. Obviously you could use another system or laptop if you have hdmi out capability. In all this testing it seemed it would have been easier if the BM driver could autoselect or sense the HDMI format coming in to provided some feedback on what it is getting as a signal and what format it is.ĮDIT: I was able to check HDMI input by connecting a DVI to HDMI cable on the second port of my video card in the same system. Also confirmed the firmware was at 3025 on both and Renesas drivers at 2.0.4.0. I tried Premiere Pro, Vegas, and Virtualdub on a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R with either it's onboard USB 3.0 or generic USB 3.0 PCIe x1 card. To confirm there isn't an HDCP issue I used a HDMI to DVI cable and connected to a 24" pc monitor that I know doesn't have HDCP and the devices are fine. I've tried 4 devices and can't get a picture over hdmi, just audio and even then not always.Ĭomponent is ok.
